PRESERVED FILMS

Bayshore Round-Up (1920)

Film showing the Bayshore Amusement Park in its heyday, preserved by the Maryland Historical Society with NFPF support.

Treasures from American Film Archives

In 2000, 18 of America's premier archives joined forces with the NFPF to release preserved films from their collections for the first time on home video. The resulting 4-DVD set showcased the incredible diversity of American filmmaking and launched the award-winning Treasures DVD series. Originally produced through funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and The Pew Charitable Trusts, the sold-out set was reissued in a reduced price edition in 2005. This “Encore Edition” was made possible through the support of the Cecil B. De Mille Foundation and Sterling Vineyards®. Two years later, the set was out of print again and fetching astronomical prices on eBay. We remain committed to keeping these films available and are pleased to present the original Treasures set on our website for the first time.
